This was my first YWLS and I absolutely loved it! The music, the decor, the lovely women and obviously the message. I have always been a conservative and proud of it but TPUSA has only reinforced how amazing it is to be one! I cannot wait to attend next years YWLS!!

YWLS was the conference that I never knew I needed to attend! Going to college and working a corporate job had left me feeling isolated in my conservative beliefs. Even my inner circle of friends was (and is) overwhelmingly liberal, and their desire to talk about current issues is basically non existent. Having been in this liberal environment for so long, I just accepted it and went to the office and sat in class feeling alone in my principles. It wasn't until I saw all the hate for conservatives via Instagram during January from my own left-wing friends that I fully understood the true meanness of the left. When the date for YWLS was announced, I knew I had to go! I prayed that God would bring me a roommate and friends that loved America and had the same conservative principles. Not to foster an echo chamber, but to have a support group that would talk about current issues and encourage one and other when the left got us down. Thankfully, God blessed me with the most amazing circle of friends at this conference (we have a group chatnow!). One of us is from New York, the other Wisconsin, and two of us from the great state of Texas. It is only through YWLS, that we were able to meet and connect. Two of them already have a TPUSA chapter, and the other is starting one on her campus this fall! This event has truly changed our lives, and I could not be more grateful to have spent this weekend learning from America's leaders and making lasting friendships with freedom-loving gals.

YWLS was my first TPUSA event and it did not disappoint. I went into this weekend with no expectations because I had no idea what to expect! I’ve always been conservative abut afraid to voice my opinion for fear of backlash and losing friends. Sometimes I would get enough courage to put something on my Instagram story once in a while. After this conference I have realized that there are more conservative women than I thought. Even ones from California! It was so encouraging and motivating to see my peers speak boldly on what they believe and not be afraid of the left. Hearing from the speakers and hearing them tell us the harsh realities of what they go through really opened my eyes to how cruel the world can be but how we can’t back down. I plan to attend many more TPUSA events in the future and can’t wait to learn more and more. Thank you guys so much for the opportunity to be encouraged and cheered on!

When I first heard about YWLS, I was pretty lost in the sense that I had just transferred out of my public high school after losing virtually all my friends and being "cancelled" for my political views. I applied to go because it seemed like a great opportunity to learn about standing my ground and to make some new friends with like minded folks. I've never been more right in my life! It was a wonderful experience. I met new people & made new friends and when I flew back home, I had a newfound sense of empowerment- I had never felt more proud to be a conservative women and more ready to share my views regardless of what others might think.

I honestly never expected to feel so amazed, inspired, and empowered after attending a conference. YWLS was the uttermost spectacular event I have ever attended in my life. From being able to meet my role models, to networking with like-minded women, I was completely blown away. As an immigrant, I was fed a lie that I shouldn’t have conservative values or push in support of conservative ideals, but thanks to people like Lila Rose and Kayleigh McEnany I was shown that is not true. I’m forever grateful that TPUSA exists. You all have truly given me a voice to help show minorities that it is okay to be pro-life, pro-family, and pro-freedom.

When I was considering coming to this event, the prospect of going totally alone made me unsure. I was one of those that received a phone call from Alex to encourage confirming my attendance. If it weren’t for that phone call, I wouldn’t have flown to Dallas. But here I am, having listened to, learned from, and hugged so many impactful figures of the conservative community (not to mention my new lifelong cinnamon roll friends). The group chat our squad made is still going strong, and we’re planning get-togethers and girls trips! Grateful for this organization, this movement, these people, and this weekend.

Attending YWLS was a life changing experience. Turning Point USA gave me the ability to meet lifelong friends and hear from the women who inspire me. Being surrounded by over two thousand like-minded young women who share my same values gave me so much hope that the conservative movement is unstoppable and will only grow stronger. I am forever grateful to Turning Point, the amazing people who work tirelessly to make these events possible, and the speakers I had the honor of listening to.

I used to feel really alone being a conservative college student. It really takes guts to stand up for conservative values in today’s political climate, but after getting involved with Turning Point USA and attending events like YWLS, it really opened my eyes to how many people are also feeling the same way that I do. It really puts things into perspective to be in a room with 2,500 women are also facing the same struggles as you everyday. It provides young conservatives with hope and restored faith in humanity to know that there are still so many people (and women) who love their country, and still value things like faith, family, and tradition and are continuing to lead a counter-cultural lifestyle.
